Winter Tritina

A Quadrilation of Christmastime

I glance out the window, to see the beautiful snowflakes,

The first of winter, my mind fills with thoughts of gingerbread,

As I long to decorate the tree with lights and toy reindeer.

Eager on Christmas Eve, to hear the footsteps of reindeer,

On the roof, covered abundantly in snowflakes.

I smell the aroma of fresh, warm gingerbread.

I can taste it now, sweet icing on the gingerbread,

As I hear the familiar tune of a red nosed reindeer,

Keen on playing with my friend, sticking our tongues out for snowflakes,

Finishing my gingerbread, I run to my backyard, like a reindeer,

Along comes my friend, and heads up, we await the falling snowflakes.
